The Small Conquest of Malta

Malta has political meaning
As a miniature of Europe...
But this black haired, wine sympathizer says
That water is cold and he was under the hot shower today.
I'm baffled. I dive into watery ink like
Into light wine, insatiable, thirsty...

Medieval streets of Mdina. Yellow stones dominance.
The hill dominates the island
That conforms to star.
The workers repair urban hallways, squares...
Tales of Silent City... I hear, concentrated, placid.

Valetta's women of fashion quaky buttocks,
Bus drivers' cheerful cackles. Short of EU parliament election,
Pat Cox, Malta leader jump out of palatial gateway -
Camcorder, stop! This cassette is over.
Malta has political meaning
As a miniature of Europe.
I'm not baffled. I dive into watery ink on the roof,
By the swimming pool I dominate the bay
Like laughing, quaky Pat Cox who conforms to stars.
