The Fire of Wisdom and Compassion With Action
by
Philip Claude Andermann
If we burn ourselves
we can heal ourselves.
But if we burn others
we have proved
we cannot help ourselves.
But then what is our karma
if others become burned
through our inaction
when we might have protected them?
It would be like
we had burned them.
Therefore, it would seem better
to burn or sacrifice ourselves a bit
if it would keep others
from getting burned.
We see imbalance all around us.
Proactively wisely extending ourselves for others
even if it seems painful for us:
If we do this using the Mystic Law
then by cause and effect,
empowering and not "enabling,"
we would ultimately
not wind up burning ourselves,
but rather gaining benefit
or growing strength of mission
to benefit this world;
risking extending ourselves
for others
empowering them
would be extending our own strength endlessly...
