To Count Infinities

Whether we ever meet
or know anything of each other,
whatever we may think of each other
or of this fact,
out of 7 billion people we are actually
all passionate partners in life,
seemingly too intimately
interconnected/interdependent:
and the only way to handle that
without being totally overwhelmed
is to try to think of each other
as Buddhas of priceless potential,
and to act with everyone
we directly encounter in any way
as though they were likewise infinite Buddhas -
starting with ourselves.
I believe seeking this kind of world peace
in this crowded world
we can find that inner space
and true freedom at the levels
that count....
