The Prism of Life, the Reachable Rainbow
by
Philip Claude Andermann
There are glasses through which to see.
There is the glass to see oneself.
There is the glass with which to drink to life.
There is the glass ceiling we pretended was a pedestal,
the glass we smash to celebrate...

Life too is a frozen transparent liquid
which melted by the kiss of caring
cleanses all, nourishes all, permeates all, dissolves all hardship,
offers the sea of hardship to totally cross and transform.
That which is unseen containing us
is born into life's reachable rainbows of tears
of joy, the prism though which eternity passes and is split
revealing it, the container of eternity and the capillaries of hot passion
which come to burst into cooling eternity.
Infinite starbursts of youth way beyond which always melt.
which always melt away like fireworks into the darkness of the human heart always self-correcting.
