Vow
by
Philip Claude Andermann
Love's tear humblest
like dropping rain
nourishes all life.
Not noticed.
Yet lit faces of this priceless jewel
on rose uniquely
reveal
truth touching:
when cherished,
intimacy's waft of whisper soars
its light to furthest
corners trembling
new spring breeze of
hope penetrating infinity.
The vast mortal heart
circulating eternity
is contained in that smallest
tear
of pathos,
which is also
that towering
of rain
that rainbows so
when we
free the sun
in every drop
in fertile life,
raise it
reborn into dawn...
