1777:
A young man [the famous Goethe] rides on a horse
across all the mountains
and forests
to encourage a sick friend.
My friend, let's strive for the sake of lofty ideals.
That's what makes life worth living...
to the fullest in the way most true to ourselves.
My friend, I will cross every mountain to reach you.
I step on the mountain of every victory.
Step on my shoulders advancing through the forest.
Step advancing upon my mountains.
See that mountain rising lit with jewels of sweat
rising from the pressues of the Earth
within the cosmos of the heart.
It is us together!
My friend,
let us scale the mountains ahead, of sickness,
in victory
to see and touch vast vistas of living eternity.
My friend,
there is a Word which is a vast prayer.
In dialogue with you,
we will be able to reach every heart, more than Goethe,
in the world.
