The Ecology of Uniqueness

You might have to leave the flock
temporarily
to find your uniqueness.
Then you can come back
and lead
side by side with others.
There is no hierarchy
to leading.
And then,
you might find all
the energy you need
to find your uniqueness
already within the flock.
There are always threats
to be turned around.
True harmony
need not foster
unneeded conformity.
It can nourish
the evolution
of uniqueness
which will nourish
the flock
and concurrently
lead it
in the correct direction.
Evolution is
always CO-evolution,
of the individual
and the ecology.
