Timing - and Winding Up a Winner

The clock has two hands like me:
their slow motion is invisible -
yet Time's invisible hands ruffle things everywhere
in an instant like a wind,
and unlike MY hands they can conquer all men.
I wish that to win in life
I could make Time my mighty ally
- the essential factor, the essence, of victory or defeat -
and that I could part two moments like
curtains in a conqueror's tent
and sneak in upon his (always wound-up) Essence,
shaking those hands as if to say,
"yes, this one moment, you are free,"
warming Time's heart (big as the world)
to open up to me
