The Web Poetry Corner - Philip Claude Andermann - Sonatas of Eternal Growth
Sonatas of Eternal Growth
Philip Claude Andermann
I have climbed the tree of my friends' lives
in their palms with my fingers
which read as on leaves
that we are comrades bound, hand in hand.
No, we grow together to INSCRIBE our fate together,
to leave behind written a Sonata of eternal beauty.
silhouetted against eternal heavens
even after the tree of life connecting us is skeleton
every lifeline fully inscribed,
each revealed by different
lines of the same tree:
Yet in Spring I return a different leaf, having climbed
to a higher branch in a
now-taller tree we grew together
bound life-to-life to all the
hands of my youthfully
Out of plain wand of wood the magic flowers,
the winds of change touch them
to fruit to a tiny universe
waiting to Fall with us. ...
a different tree, a different
air of breath, but the same
Wind shaking hands.
Out of magic, now worn hands tremble
but no, it is not the winds that mock our transience,
it is we keyboard Maestros of ETERNAL experience
who united CONTROL
AND PLAY THE WINDS
with the Sonatas of eternal growth.
