Eternal Life
by
Philip Claude Andermann
Only by dancing with another
do I learn the words to the music of life's dance.
Yet only if I listen to my heart can I hear another's.
There is a conductor to it all I must follow.
S/he is summoned by the song of all humanity.
Lo, we are the sun raising and scaling hope's echo mountains
loaned to us to return to our partner, the future.
Dancing upward, share the cup of gratitude always full.
