The Web Poetry Corner - Phil Pochurek - Ode to a Opossum

Ode to a Opossum

by

Phil Pochurek

Blinding lights
And careless metal
Make instant victims
Out of innocent opossums.
Mindless machines
With thin cold blood
Do as they're told.
But who tells the opossum?
Open roads
Makes faster cars
And sudden stops...obsolete.
But no one tells the opossum.
