The Web Poetry Corner - Paul Curtis - COLOR MY WORLD

COLOR MY WORLD

by

Paul Curtis

There are only seven colors in a rainbow
There are no other colors of which I know
Peach for example, is not a color but a fruit
So are Avocado, Pumpkin, and Plum to boot
I don’t know how you would categorize
Things like Sahara, Safari and even Sunrise
Fuchsia, Fawn or Oatmeal you can choose
And there’s Beige, Stone and similar hues
They’re not colors as I said from the start
So why do they appear on a color chart?

NEXT?
Why don't you look at Carcasonne
