The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Wild Onion
Wild Onion
by
Pafu
On the star of paradise
Rocky paths to mountains high
Get a glimpse of it way up
Take a wild ride to the top.
What's it like to feel alive?
In the great wild, terrified
Balanced on a breaking wave
Reckless racing on ahead.
This course has just two speeds:
Gallop on a heaving steed,
Or panting wait till others be
Part of the will to be free.
If you like a different pace
Better find a different race
This one likes to run always
Hard to change his preference.
Tearing up the steepest slope
Striking hoof beats on the stone
Salt and pepper in a sweat
Just try to hold on to it.
