Some one gave a name
To this time and place
And gave us feeble lamps
To light the dark and damp.

Sunlight stirs an urge
Of molecules in us
Food for roving frames
It's evolution's game.

We've been so long gone
From what we once were
Home's now a stride away
Thanks, and we embrace.

This in remembrance
Of our love's eloquence
Courtship and rivalry
Lasting till we're free.
