The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Thunk Up

Thunk Up

by

Pafu

Here's a song about some one
That never ever lived.
So we can never know
What he never did.

He could've been most anyone
That a bod could be,
But he missed the gist of it
To exist like you and me.

How would he have looked
Who would've looked at him
All untold possibility
Mind boggling in the extreme.

Oh well, let's not drone on
Longer than enough.
There's really nothing much to say
You can see that much.

With this postscript we desist
And stop this pretense of
One who never ever was,
Someone someone thunk up.
