The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - The Horizon

The Horizon

by

Pafu

The Horizon is a circle
A circle on a sphere
Broken by the mountains
Until they disappear.

From underwater cover
We have crawled above
Seeking the sensation
Of drying on the shore.

Clams have comfy homes
That break up on the beach
They live there sifting silt
From their broken pieces.

Travel and you stray from
Who you think you are
In the dream extinction
We finally are no more.

Should one say yes to
A falling drop of rain?
Or simply let it splatter
On the higher brain.
