The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Sorry Pace
Sorry Pace
by
Pafu
The long way, the wrong way
We tried every blind alley
Were we ever even clever
Or just fleeing from the weather.
Never time to stop to think
Driven like a drunk for drink
Smashing glass, screaming steel
Living with machines that kill.
Progress, at a sorry pace
We're emerging from disgrace
Moving in our very wake
Fading smiles on aging faces.
ref:
Get up and gallop
Sons of the wind
The horizon's approaching
This time we must win.

Why don't you look at
