The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - River Life
River Life
by
Pafu
River of rivers, courses of waters
Here at the shore where they end
Thru all dislevels, ever it races
Flood that delivers life to all takers.
Wrinkled our faces, with scars in places
We're named after captains that came
Long before we spoke they murmured
Hymns with refrains of praise.
Rivers of life, caressing the earth
Ample and wide, rough coursing first
We have survived, and now no tide
Or wave can the horizon hide.
