The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Learning to Breathe
Learning to Breathe
by
Pafu
The colors go pastel from white
There's blue at first always
Yellow is the sun that comes
Lighting the horizon pink.
First the roots, then the leaves
Green in all of life schemes
Beautiful the flower head
The future in a seed of red.
Transparent, just a pale
Suggestion of a bony veil
Jerky movement in the fluid
Lives by taking life into it.
An eye held above the wave
For a blurred look into space
If that body learns to breathe
It can drag on up the beach.
