The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Float Over
Float Over
by
Pafu
Drifting down a lazy river stream
The paddle's in the water not moving
Under the faceless hat you see
Someone's chewing on a weed slowly.
The river started fast and wild
Then its banks broadened out
Rolled past fields and metro lands
And reached the bayou beyond.
You and canoe, no one who's
There to agree or dispute
Just a fish, surprised to see
Five toes float over: me.
