The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Flash

Flash

by

Pafu

He was alone, in his den
Outside was a hurling wind
A window blew open then
Came this realization.

All was seen in that flash
Of the storm upon his house
Had he not been gathering
All the leaves now scattering?

Then was his electric eye
Solemn witness to the light
Finding asymmetric shapes
Written in its jagged rays.

He's an animal, but wise
Seeing reason from all sides
Morning coming once again
With the dream's vanishing.
