The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Drunk Dreaming
Drunk Dreaming
by
Pafu
On the gang, whistling low
He turned down old blues street
Looking for a place to drink.
He drank all his pay gone
Then he staggered on some
To his ship to pass out.
You could say he took a dive
Still he's later there inside
When it finally sails away.
But on the streets outside
Where that cold wind cries
There ain't no place to hide.
Blues man just blows on
His hands and then his horn
He ain't just drunk dreamin'.
