The Web Poetry Corner - Pafu - Creeping then Riding

Creeping then Riding

by

Pafu

Intuition creeping toward sunrise
Life is hard, caretakers cry
Pressed are they before the test
Always asking "is this best?"
Knowing only days that pass.

Strings are struck to reveal
Resonances in the steel
They've no will still they play
Do not speak but have their say
It doesn't change much anyway.

Stuffed like stockings if you please
Could they move without feet?
Maybe today he'll wear these
Blessed to be stretched and squeezed
Sometimes slip, slide or squeak.

Thought was fading, still unkind
Shadows of the sunlit mind
Stirring distant grains of sand
Whipped on till it understands
Astride it is the son of man.
