You Can See
by
Norma Jean Duncan
Altho if with your eyes, you can not see
You can see with your heart and mind.
Altho your eyes may not picture the beauty
You can still enjoy all the beauty you find.
Sometimes we who have eyes to see
Miss some of the beauty every day.
We look past so many lovely things
We're looking some other way.
Our eyes may be lowered to the ground
When a beautiful rainbow is overhead.
We may be looking upward to the sky
When the roses are blooming a pretty red.
If you can not see the beauty with your eyes
Listen with your ears, hear the children at happy play.
Or the sound of the chirping of the birds
You can hear beauty every minute of the day.
If with your ears you can not hear
You can feel it with your touch.
Feel the softness of an animal or a child
It's Gods world and its beauty is much.
If we can see, hear, or feel the beauty
There is plenty for us to find and enjoy.
In our heart and mind is where we really see
There is great beauty that we can employ.
