The Web Poetry Corner - Norma Jean Duncan - Another Birthday

Another Birthday

by

Norma Jean Duncan

Your're a year older, so what
You're not ancient, you're not
Another year of experience to add
You're another year wiser, aren't you glad

Those candles on your cake are many
A lot better than not any
The grey in your hair can be a blessing
Or hide it and keep them guessing

Be proud of the years of your life
You have learned from troubles and strife
You could teach others a thing or two
That is if they would listen to you.

NEXT?
Why don't you look at As Long As
