The Web Poetry Corner - Neil Heron - Ventura

Ventura

by

Neil Heron

An ocean or a desert
Ventura fills my heart
Malibu can melt me
Dreams just play a part

Sunrise finds you sleeping
Sleeping soundly by my side

The man who begged for twenty
Has thousands stashed away
His eyes are on the easy
And they land every day

They land and then depart
The valley being the peaceful call
Universal through Tarzana
Filmscripts to fill each mall

Sunrise finds you sleeping
Sleeping soundly by my side

Wake dress and leave
My hit was just to chill
Ventura made me a man
Your love just keeps me still

An ocean or a desert
Santa Monica fills my heart
Malibu can melt me
Dreams just play a part.

NEXT?
