The Web Poetry Corner - Neil Heron - Silver Mines

Silver Mines

by

Neil Heron

My feet are well rested
My celtic blood still flows
My eyes are not so sharp
My family close at heart

We cant posess all we desire
We feel more than we ever touch

Are our minds still open
As our heritage means so much

No bullets near my fingers
Just an ash tree in the field
Traffic passes by now days
It is for our marching minds to yield.
