The Web Poetry Corner - Neil Heron - Nine Candles Left In Rome
Nine Candles Left In Rome
by
Neil Heron
Move throuth your city slowly
In the evening with some friends,
A time spent with no money,
Some eveenings pass too slow.
I found you more attractive
By staying out of your sight
The eternal city made me happy
It could not send me home.
Two children found dancing
There father feeling free,
More reason to begin again,
Nine candles left burning,
Nine candles left in Rome.
