CRYING WOLF!

by

Mohammad Badri

Once under gleam of blue horizon.
In corner of this puzzling globe . . .!
A con shepherd felt so lonesome
Wished to accumulate lots of capital
Desired an ultimate capability
To keep the villagers under his decree
Throughout the sea, land and sky
He grew up silly in a rich connection
With family’s history full of deception
Power of madness was his tool in any conflict
Single minded individual in terrain of philosophy
God furnished sense of humor to all humankind
In such a God’s gift shepherd was excluded
Greed occupied his mind and so he forgot all about God. .
Failed to remember who he was before?
What he had in mind? Stepped on others to rise
Although, his ambition was very strong
He preached so often, about the great lord
Although, religion was unvalued in his world
In reality laughed at his audiences
For sincere trust on him without inquiring
He was stubborn like a war hog
Coward entity in the face of ground
He was a man of booze
But denying it publicly
What a scavenger was this individual?
For any opportunity he could run miles
He heard one day a hungry wolf
Attacked a sheep in a neighbor’s farm
That gave him a good scenario to follow up
He continued his ultimate bizarre show
Weather was chilly in a winter day
He gave a try and started his new scam
Began screaming . . .Help! . . .Help! . . .Help!
His voice was streaming. . Wolf!. . Wolf!. . Wolf!
Community rushed to his aid entirely
Support reached him absolute from everywhere
Farmers acknowledged his suffering and horror
Money food and clothing
He was then offered a right hand agent
For security of the sheep a watchdog
Food sounded tasty he became a hero
Clothing were appealing to him
Dog turned into a tremendous spy
Covered the shepherd’s filthy pathway
Time was just right for repeating the history
He was aiming high . . . without any delay
Did not want the idea to ever die!
Wishing to become a king and rule earth and sky
Main notion was inspiring him the love of prosperity
In addition some recognition throughout the farm
Time was the dining instance
When public gathered to munch lunch
He was craving for some yummy food
Possibly a few warm jackets and coats
He prearranged slaughtered a sheep
Scratched his legs old fashion way
Torn his slacks very professional
Blamed the damages on harassing wolves
Cried like a wolf!. . help!. . help!. . .
Screamed loud. . help! . . . help! . . .help!. . . Wolf! . . .Wolf! . . .Wolf!
Response wasn’t as quick this time
Some help arrived soon. . some never showed up
Farmers became paranoid by this incident
Community were passionate in treating shepherd’s wound
Called him a champion he interpreted as way success
The Mayor told him:
"You are a brave shepherd and great hero for the community
to save the sheep and put your life in jeopardy"
Shepherd responded:
" I am a man of pride my love goes to farmers, my sheep, my dog, and my God"
He enjoyed his episode worked out so well this time
Future was his he thought could be excessive beneficial
To him those phony efforts
Were future builders of many kinds!!!!!!!
He found many fans by then gathering around him
Offering the farmers support in moments of alarm
Commencing to the public the dangers of wolves
They made the wolf’s strength very huge
Farmers considered lion as chicken to the wolf later on
Shepherd often preached:
"Wolves are taking over our farm I observe
all day long, see them with my eyes"
They could appear small or large capable of jumping high
Like foxes and tigers possibly humans or dogs
Shocked the farmers mad shepherd with his chilling talk
Used the method of exaggeration days and nights
Farmers terrified of their shadows from their behind
Skills were lagged, their crops turned sluggish
They were frightened from their houses to step outside
Shepherd urged the farmers to guard the neighborhood
Not to trust any thing in lights or darks . . .
He was firm with his goal, smart in his game
Eventually, pulled his dirty tricks many times
Farmers became aware from his motives
Mother Nature stunned him one day finally
Coin landed unfavorably in his last game
It wasn’t a joke or a horrifying dream. .
Whole reality was behind the farmers’ scene . . .
Shepherd learned his lesson the hardest possible way
Recalled the Murphy’s Law that stresses:
"What goes around . . .. comes around . . ." loomed to his mind
Time was evening . . .. in way back to farm
Hungry wolves surrounded the shepherd quickly
Whining gave no clue screaming bearded no result
With streaming sound of. . Wolf! . . .Wolf!. . Wolf!. .
Remedy didn’t connote to come!!
Nothing appeared to be helpful
Farmers were no longer shepherd’s fool
Paid no attention to him, in his trap wouldn’t fall
Nobody showed up to rescue the shepherd, sheep, or dog . . .
Dog was the first butchered by those mad wolves
Shepherd vanished next subsequent to dog. .
Wolves ate their banquet in a tranquil atmosphere
This proved the consequences of excessive sham by crook shepherd . . ..
