The Web Poetry Corner - Mitch Lathen - Smile

Smile

by

Mitch Lathen

Problems and hardships all around
Everywhere is where they're found
I just can't see the light at the end
I need some help, help me my friend

Whenever I get dismayed
I look up to your face
All the troubles in the world seem to melt away
When I see your face, I gotta say

Keep on smiling, baby
You fill the world up with your light
You make my darkest days shining bright

Keep on smiling, baby
Someday I hope you'll see
Exactly what you mean to me
Every smile gives me life
So keep on filling us with life as you smile
