The Web Poetry Corner - Md Cooks - Crickets Still Echo

Crickets Still Echo

by

Md Cooks

The crickets still echo thru an open window,
Night falls early like my hope to ever hear that voice,
The one so soft, desiring such passion,
Wanting to be held, like all others do,
Will time or the crickets let me forget?
Or will the Seven Songs of Midnight,
Let me finally rest?
For this a curse, my written words,
And the fantasies I allow,
To spoil the reality of what is there.
Please find what you must,
For your hearts confusion,
What is real can never be replaced,
From these unwise words written with no blame.
