The Web Poetry Corner - Margaret M. Leafe - Heavy
Heavy
by
Margaret M. Leafe
I should not mind being heavy
Lots of people are
But I puff to bend over
Waiting to get my stomach
Out of the way
I should not mind being heavy
But
My pants
Make seam marks on my legs
Chairs don't fit
My shoes are s t r e t c h e d
And my size is always
Missing
Off the rack
I should not mind being heavy
But
My skin
Jiggles
like
Jello
And
I feel
like a
barrel
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
You show me
