Whose Eyes Are Those In the Mirror

Each one of us seeks
we want to discover what truly lies within
the outside world is so magnificent
the mysteriousness of those around us
can be confusing, nonsensical
yet, each one of us returns time and time again
to the person that looks at us when we look into a mirror
who could be behind those eyes which know so much
who walks alongside us when we travel throughout our day?
