The Web Poetry Corner - Mango Tree - We Spoke the Truth Today

We Spoke the Truth Today

by

Mango Tree

We spoke today,
Sarah and I
the truth,
secrets about ourselves
shamelessly we exposed
what previously we saw as flaws
I fell like a different person
she is more beautiful to me
it has taken so long
so much unburdening
letting go of previous experiences from
my past, our past
I feel so much better, so does Sarah
some of the facade has fallen off
both of us, we are closer.
