The Web Poetry Corner - Mango Tree - Wandering Roads

Wandering Roads

by

Mango Tree

Wandering roads
weary feet, cold, dry
keep dragging me one step further
than I was the moment before,
these travels keep occurring
somehow, my soul keeps calling
taking me somewhere new
I somehow trust these steps
rarely asking why
I keep putting another foot forward
just another town along the road
a small, weaving creek to sit alongside
a café to wander into for food
or a piece of conversation
will I ever find myself?
