This Discontent Is So Pervasive

Why do I feel so much discontent
where has this restlessness come from
bitterness falls off of my lips
frustration, lethargy, confusion
they make up so much of each day
where do I find the strength, the courage
to live alongside these ugly heads
the barrage of challenges, the agony
how many roads must I walk down
before I become the man that I wish to be
one that can move beyond the pain.
