Phoney Existence

To believe that the world is only as you think it is, is stupid.
The world is a mysterious place,
each of us does not fight our own battles
instead, we fight for those before us who taught us well
what we think, see, feel, want, is not real
to be busy, to consume the media and products
this leaves a mark on each one of us
they are reminders of what someone else has told us
and diversions from a person that exists within
one that is not phoney, not influenced by lies, propaganda
fear of terrorists, and is alert to the thieves that lead nations.
