The Web Poetry Corner - Mango Tree - Looking Down from the Sky

Looking Down from the Sky

by

Mango Tree

The sun blazes in from outside
It rips through the gentle clouds
The mist accentuates this incandescent blaze
My eyes must turn, I wait
Looking to the side I see the earth below
And, I know that you wait for me down below
Standing in anticipation for me
Shy, excited, eager
And, I wait patiently from the seat
of this airplane
I wait for the wheels to stretch out
From the belly of this airship
To finally land on the gentle soil of Bali
And, I realize that I will never be the same
Ever again,
Once I reach for your hand at the gateway
Of this land
Once I kiss your lips
Embrace your body,
Stand by your side
To complete a burning, alchemic state
of pure, tender, passionate love
no more waiting, just sweet love.
