Life Is Worth the Wait

Life is about uncovering
discovering what lies deep within
hidden, waiting for release
it takes so much courage to even look
to allow the armour to soften, to fall
it may feel so vulnerable that it may
appear that one will break, worse die
but, it's life that appears instead
a person behind the eyes who has been waiting
patiently, compassionately, non-judgemental
and, when the true self appears
so many burdens fall to the wayside
and the eyes see clearer, one feels so much better
that is what life is about, that's why we persevere
the troubles, the abuse, the suffering
it is worth the wait, trust this.
