The Web Poetry Corner - Mango Tree - Ignorant, Selfish People

Ignorant, Selfish People

by

Mango Tree

I try to understand why people that live near
are so insensitive to the land, the tranquility
that noise and horrid musical sounds, thump a thump
that barbed wire fences seem to protect their wealth
land boundaries mean nothing,
greed, ignorance, fear, selfishness seems to come up
its Sunday, and chainsaws scream, but why?
