Deceit

It's quite simple
people lie straight-faced
standing in immaculate blue suits
or stylish, red dresses
with silk scarves wrapped around their necks
a lie is a form of deceit for some personal gain
a way of hiding or not wanting to gain access
to information that results in the bitter truth
covert tangential meandering work well
or, convincing anyone or everyone the product
or idea or propaganda or deal is worth what it isn't
each just needs to look at oneself
how many untruths did you dispel today,
magnify that, how many untruths did any organization
spread today on the TV, a magazine, a book, a speech
a cyberspace transmission, or pictorial image
humans are gullible and in need of someone to tell
them what to do, how to look, and what we need
it's all about self-realization and responsibility.
