Blue Couch

I lie upon this soft, blue couch
My body borrowing this space
I rest my tired soul, oh, so briefly
Your embrace means so much to me,
hold me gently for I am weary
I am grateful for your kindness
You took a moment out from your life
To encourage me to keep my faith
So I may return to life and write a few more words
We both know that the words keep me connected
to my soul.
