The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Let me harbour in a night

Let me harbour in a night

by

M A Heathcote

Let me harbour in a night
Until the morning light
Because Im wrapped in a light
Tender and bright
Tender and tight with you

On a wing and a prayer
Let me dream without falling
Into a plot of sleep
Let this warm night
Always keep with me.

Let the flowers frown
Because my hearts happy
As a champagne clown
Dancing on a cloud
Blessing that hes a bee

Dancing on a cloud
Happy because hes a bee
In a star lit cloud
Warming to those colours within
Like a bee within your skin.

Let me harbour in a night
Champagne corks fly...
Let me fly
Let me die when I cry
Let me fly when I die
Let me cry let me fly when I die
Let me fly let me fly let me fly
When I cry when I die
When I fly let me cry when I die.
