The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Two hearts bright

Two hearts bright

by

M A Heathcote

Every time I looked into his eyes
There was this eternal coal bolt spark
There was this eternal fire in my soul
There was this raging furnace
Burning intrepidly deep inside my heart
Burning out of all or any rational control
Truth was; I only wished?
To take him home.

His eyes almost effeminate, alluring me
Did masculine blink loves core message
In a bone jangling silence through me
Oh what a knowledge of language
Oh what a kudos
Catch he will be.
Him an angel like comet in the cosmos
I a siren shall decide if he should go free.

Oh every time a candle leans into the wind
I just want to light this taper under you
And feel the natural thaw of a frozen star
Growing inside of you—ooh tonight!
Two hearts bright!
In natural law we’ll learn to give
A whole lot more
A whole lot more of you too me.
And me too you!
A little bit of each other
Before it all turns blue.

Oh, every time I looked into his eyes
I just knew I wanted to embrace you
Oh, I can’t pretend to put up a fight
Because with you I just know
It’ll all just turn out just right.
And together we’ll have ourselves
Two hearts bright!
In natural law we’ll learn to give
A whole lot more
A whole lot more of you too me.
And me too you!
A little bit of each other
Before it all turns blue.
