The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Eternity

M A Heathcote

Oh eternity
I donít want to wear
Youíre worn out shoes
I just want to toil
In the darkness
For all my modernity
Without you

In the morning
Iíll sell my soul
For you to kiss
The moment of death
Upon my lips

Oh eternity
Iíd gladly lead your footsteps
Through the mist
Thereís all the time
In the world to reminisce
If I could just take time out
Alone for your caress
Then time would be
Immortally, blest
Iíd be for all deaths eternity
Youíre guessed.

Oh eternity
Loving you can be
A sort of gravid liberty
The kind Iíd set free
Never to love me

Oh sweet deaths liberation
Iím in your celebration
Like a shooting star
That hasnít got far
To go to find eternity
In a thallium of liberty!
