The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - But joy is the secret

But joy is the secret

M A Heathcote

War is an oceans wave of thirst...
Love is the tongue of all nations.
Hate a volcanic death via minions...
Passions star—a glowing) sunburst.

Lust a vulture swiping at existing flesh...
Greed a satanic vision in-full exposure!
Gluttony a maggot of tingling gooseflesh...
Trust a self tied noose of foreclosure.

Life an equinox of unending, dilemma...
Death a tinderbox of petals during bloom!
Birth a smoke-ring a transient karma...
Heaven a dream a worn out tunic costume.

Marriage a jet flying on empty breath...
Breath flutters wingtips... towards death.
Hope forever out manoeuvred in tic-tack-toe!
But joy is the secret; one should never-let-go.
