The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Just too awaken a nightmares horror

Just too awaken a nightmares horror

M A Heathcote

The dead will visit your sleeping child
Just too awaken a nightmares horror.
The dead will dampen mildews mild
Scud his nape; daub his cotton-collar.

The dead have awoken! Unbarred...
Hand in pathos hand...
Like a daisy chain athwart his pillow.

And if he sets foot in their graveyard
Or in their foggy, swampland:
You will not hear nor see him callow.

If a little eerily frozen blue as a star
Under blankets Dark; "he will.., Know?
The morning s star" hasnít all, that far...
To go; about the globe, deathly, yellow.
