The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - In affairs more real

In affairs more real

by

M A Heathcote

In affairs more real than heart or soul
We gown and groom our bodies mould.
In wares more precious than silver or gold
We share the making of gods untold.
By these sibling-rivers that join the sea
Our fleshes stellar-stars of mediocrity
Can both shine bright over you and me?
One singularity for the world’s lost verity.
And if your last breath does sucker!
From one sweet infant child to another
The billows of our love eternal-flow
Through endless veins from tip to toe
Like a honey fluting flower upon the wind.
Eden’s birds and bees shall forever sing!
In affairs more real than love or soul
We gown our bodies mould
In wares more precious than silver or gold
We share the makings of gods untold.
