The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Not for his sorrows forsworn in mine

Not for his sorrows forsworn in mine

by

M A Heathcote

Not for his sorrows forsworn in mine
Have tears impaled the dust of time
Unconquerable courage is ever divine.

Not for his agonies hushed in death agony
Have neither hearts nor minds remorse a breath
Neither braver nor sweeter than which his have left.

His lips like a bow could never let go
A burning tempests word or a flaming arrow
His love will be all thatís left of us to know.
His anguish his woe is ours to let go.
