The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - Mr Mole

Mr Mole

by

M A Heathcote

Seldom have I seen Mr Mole
Digging in his vault of loam
His hands unworthy of a prayer
As he lumbers unto the earth
Heaven wards ever so rare
Threshing he makes a dome
St Paul's cathedral is his home
His sacrament, his hole?
His earthworm bowl.
